FLORIDA DIVING
For those divers looking for something different, how about sharktooth diving in Venice, Florida? It's great summer fun and you get some great bottom times. I would be happy to set up your hotel for you and can even get your rental car. You can fly into three different airports for the Venice area of the Gulf of Mexico. The closest is Sarasota Airport, while Tampa and Ft. Meyers airports are about the same distance apart. Price wise Tampa usually is the cheapest. You can dive all week with Steve of Florida West Scuba or, I can make arraingements for you to dive the ledges and artifical reefs of Sarasota.
The top photo on the left is a picture I took last summer of a shark's tooth laying on the bottom. This is a megalodon shark's tooth. You can find many different species of sharksteeth laying on th bottom here but the Meg is the prize tooth and can reach 6-7 inches in size. Find one of those and you have more than paid for your vacation!
You can leave Venice and head south to Naples and turn East to the Miami - Ft Lauderdale area or head directly to the Florida Keys for the best diving and snorkeling in America!
